Queen Angelfish
The queen angelfish (Holacanthus ciliaris) is one of the most beautiful fish in the sea due to the bright blue and yellow colors and the small rainbow on its fins. This large angelfish grows to 12 inches (30 centimeters) in length, and is found throughout the western Atlantic Ocean including the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean sea. It is quite common near Florida, especially the Florida Keys. The Queen Angelfish feeds primarily on sponges, but will also eat tunicates, jellyfish, and corals as well as plankton and algae.
