Tracks in the Sand
This image of the surface of Mars was taken by NASA's Exploration Rover Spirit as it explored a feature nicknamed "Husband Hill". The image shows the tracks made in the sand by the rover as it looked back on its progress. This image was taken on November 24, 2004, more than a year after the rover first landed on Mars. Both rovers have exceeded their estimated life span by several years.
