Endeavour Above Earth
Backdropped by the blackness of space and Earth's horizon, Space Shuttle Endeavour's orbital maneuvering system (OMS) pods and vertical stabilizer can be seen in this image photographed by a crewmember while docked with the International Space Station (ISS) during STS-118 flight day six activities. STS-118 lifted off on August 8, 2007 from launch pad 39A at Kennedy Space Center. It was the 22nd shuttle flight to the International Space Station. It continued space station construction by delivering a third starboard truss segment to the station.
