Red Cauliflower Coral

This soft coral is known as a cauliflower coral. Soft corals like this are common on coral reefs in the Pacific and Indian Oceans. They can be found in a wide range of colors including pink, yellow, orange, and red. This image was captured by Dr. Dwayne Meadows from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). It was taken on September 2006 in the waters off the coast Micronesia.
