Purple Tube Sponges
This colony of tube sponges resembles the pipes of a musical instrument. Though they may look like plants, these sponges are actually animals. They are the among simplest animals on Earth. Sponges like these are frequently used as shelter for small crabs, shrimps, and other invertebrates.
